Transformation of the Rural PV market is a five year project executed by the ministry of energy and mineral (MEM) under the support of GEF/UNDP. The project is implemented since 2004 in Mwanza region as the pilot region and experience learnt from the project is disseminated in other regions. The goal of the project is replace CO2 emitted through use of fossil fuels mainly kerosene with PV systems by sustainable commercial market of the technology. In order to achieve this, the project is undertaking the following activities which are major project components. This website is developed to share project experiences and information with other solar industry stakeholders. The website will also be helpful for those interested to buy solar systems, potential investors in the industry and those seeking more information about the technology dissemination. |
